The wide angle lens with 105 degrees FoV is why it happens. Line it up so the camera is level and angled up as far as it will go, and the horizon is not curved. Anything lower than that will cause distortion. I hope they come out with other cameras with less wide FoV and different focal lengths.

I will make a note of trying to film if it happens again when I start up.

I would like a camera with a slightly longer focal length, and tighter field of view that will allow some type of lens hood to be fitted to eliminate flare which is so easy to get otherwise. The stock lens and field of view makes it difficult to fit a lenshood without it impeding into the image...
