Do you think it would have been possible to hit pause at that point, then reset the home location to the controller again, and then hit go to home? It is difficult "discovering" all these quirks in operation.

One of those videos that Autel recently posted during CES 2017 showed a new mode that works just like the Phantoms do where you draw a box on an object on the screen and then the bird follows it.
I'm not sure if it was demonstrating a new feature of the soon to be released firmware upgrade or...
Windows Movie Maker is free. I did my first edit using it.
I think I found a better option in OpenShot, which is open source. Looks like it has a lot more features, but correspondingly will take more practice to use efficiently.

What am I trying to get across? That the known information says you can fly higher than 400'.
Is it something I intend to do? Who knows. If conditions are correct, possibly.
I can't enlighten you. Not my forte'.
No I do not think there is time to get out of the way of a corporate jet. Why...
I don't know anything about Google maps' interaction with StarLink. I just access the maps via the StarLink window. I suppose StarLink is funneling Google maps, but I don't know.
I have read elsewhere that the maps that are cached expire in 30 days.
Cheers,
Dan K.
You have to place the device in airplane mode or turn off wifi after you cache the maps of the place you want to fly.
If you don't and the device catches a random wifi access point on your journey from home to your flight area, the cached maps will get overwritten by the device.
Cheers,
Dan K.
Launch StarLink.
Click on "Start".
Click on the "Settings" icon (A little gear) located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, just to the right of the little map display window.
There are 6 tabs at the top of the Settings dialog box. Click the rightmost tab. Under the "Map"...
OK, so let's break it down:
1. FAA states: "As stated in the FAA's Interpretation of the Special Rule for Model Aircraft, and in historical references below, the 400 foot altitude limit is RECOMMENDED and NOT a requirement of Section 336. Model aircraft may be flown consistently with Section...
Erick,
Firstly, you have to enable caching in the settings interface in the StarLink application.
While I am still at home and have an active WiFi connection to my android tablet, I launch the StarLink app and I bring the map view to the fore. I then scroll around in the map interface to the...
You need a really high spec video card, lots of RAM, a speedy hard drive and higher spec processor to work with 4K video.
I read some video editing software reviews. A few of them will create a lower resolution version of your video when you import it from the SD card. That way you can edit...
I mis-typed earlier. I have the Galaxy Tab A 7" (2016) running 5.1.1. It worked perfectly today. I flew for about 1 hour total, never had a video issue.
There is a display setting named "Outdoor mode". Makes the screen even brighter than if you run the slider all the way up.
Cheers,
Dan K.
I have no idea how the video feed is buffered to the tablet from the remote controller, or even if it is buffered at all.
The Samsung Tab A 8" that I picked up seems to work with just a split-second of video lag. I don't find it distracting at all. I finally took my first XSP flight today and...
Yes, the battery instructions state to wait until the battery cools down to room temperature before charging.
There's also a blurb about doing a full charge and deplete cycle (CHarge to 100% and deplete to 7%) every 3 months, or every 20th charge cycle.
Cheers,
Dan K.
