I wouldn't consider 96% after a few days and a few start-ups and shut-downs to check capacity to be a problem. 88% after three days is worth looking into. A self-discharge to maintain battery life as with the flight batteries might actually be a good idea but it would not be popular.

The state-of-charge on my SE controller is still good as of Friday morning.

The loss-of-charge issue on the SE controller appears to have been fixed by the update. I applied the update and recharged my controller late Monday night. The controller still has a full charge as of this (Wednesday) morning.
