    reflective tape, update photos added

Well, I probably wouldn't put it anywhere near the GPS sensor (top-front of the drone under the orange casing or along the bottom where it might interfere with some of the sensors, but I would think anywhere along the side of the body or on the foldable arms would be o.k.

All my Evo 1 battery reported damage

I don't think you either want to or can change the cells in your battery. To the best of my knowledge it's a sealed pack and opening up, finding, and trying to re-engineer the pack wouldn't be advisable. I have the charging hub and try to only charge my batteries when I know I'm getting...

OK everyone this really needs to be talked about

Beware, the worms are attracted to the spice...

    Trouble pulling images from EVO

Easiest way is to pull the card out and transfer files that way (quickest), but I think you can do what you're trying if you also have the EVO turned on. It won't just natively read it without power on the EVO. Give that a try, let us know if it works.

New Evo won’t Yaw to the right

Not that it might matter too much, but you also might want to double check that you are not in the 'Novice' mode where flight speeds are limited and the expo on all of the settings is highly limited to make sure you don't accidentally fly in an uncontrolled fashion. In the Explorer app, go to...

    ON LEAVING TEAM ORANGE

As much as I love my Evo 1, I can be objective and if you're thinking about going DJI you may want to have a look at the Mavic Air 2 as well as the Mavic Pro 2. I guess the ultimate decision factor there is what is your ultimate goal? On the high-level, it seems like the Mavic Air 2 hits all...

EVO I vs. DJI Mavic AIR 2

To fix the 'props in the shot' issue, I've taken to going somewhere between 10 and 13 degrees of down-gimbal on the camera. seems to do the trick. I think the problem is that the EVO 1 has the whole offset to the left issue with the camera so it's ALWAYS the left prop that seems to interfere...

My evo is failing to set camera perimeters

Just another FYI...the most recent version of the Autel Explorer app for Android resolves the ability to change (and see) video resolution parameters. The version listed in this thread works well if you want to use the last stable Evo I-only version of the app, but the new one is working well...

New EVO I crashed on second flight

I've taken off from asphalt, concrete and grass. Luckily, never had any issues with motors failing to spool up, takes off like a dream every time, manually and automatically. Possibly a glitchy ESC caused a motor spinup issue, but definitely put it on Autel's radar through support just in case.

OK, I've got my replacement EVO and......

Hi all...Just a quick FYI. I became a part of the Autel Explorer Beta program. The current Beta for the next version of the app fixes the resolution selection issue. I haven't tried any of the flight modes yet (windy/dreary/working-from-home/etc.), but I did bench-test the resolution switching...

Anywhere to download original Evo 1 4k 60 fps video footage?

Wow, how clear is that water...beautiful!

    AB button hack

I think it may impact your ability to set up Orbit mode, but if you're not using it then your solution is practical and efficient. I might opt for something a little more aesthetically pleasing, but nothing wrong with it!

    Autel evo maybe

As a recent Evo I purchaser, I decided to go with the 1 because I didn't feel like I needed 6K or 8K for video. I also didn't think I needed all-around obstacle avoidance. The Evo II has an advertised 40 minutes of flight time, but always take advertised times with a grain of salt because they...

    Evo Battery removal

I've also recently found that if I try to remove the battery the way it is shown in the instruction manual (front legs extended, rear legs still folded) and I grab the EVO from underneath with my left hand (and my grip around the rear legs) and pull the battery down with my right it actually...

OK, I've got my replacement EVO and......

Yes, this is definitely an app issue. I temporarily downloaded the older version of the app and temporarily sacrificed some of the mission modes, etc, but it was nice to be able to switch resolutions when I wanted to. Looking forward to the next version of the new app.
