Some techniques to use command inputs to determine the aircraft's' orientation

Excellent video and training techniques. This is part of the exercises that I was taught to practice with a few years ago when I began to fly the little Hubsans and Symas that were strictly manual hands on fliers. There are or were videos out there that take you through all the basic moves and...

Meet the EVO!!! Autel's new bird!!

It’s painful to see Autel work so hard at remaining a one-trick pony! They should be able to support the old airframe while bringing out new and exciting, too.

Meet the EVO!!! Autel's new bird!!

The other controller is reminiscent of the Yuneec ST-16 controller with a screen iPad sized. For more detailed mission planning and more controlling capability.

In case you are interested in a Yuneec Typhoon H

As I understand it, there are a couple of better cameras available already, but they are for the TH 520 and the still coming TH 920. Will not be backwards compatible with TH-480 that is their consumer level drone. That’s a shame because the 480 platform is very desirable. My son has one and...

    Morning outing

Nice job! Another use for the old nool poodles!

    Prop Balancing

Of course, you did recognize a bit of the old fun meter in this, didn’t you? I do use nail polish! I have not practiced the “blade reshaping” part! Somehow, my aeronautics background cringes at that thought, too. Might be fun to try on a dying bird like punkin’ chunking’ only different! 8>D

    Prop Balancing

OK! I’ll see your tape, AND your sanding with my clear nail polish! Besides, when you remove some of the polish with acetone, you can get some very interesting new aerodynamic shapes going for you!

    Jam Jerrup down under.

Be careful! There's some suspicious looking characters down there on the beach! 8~D Great shot! On the left of middle, are those mooring points or rock upcroppings?

A glimmer of hope for the Angry Bird

I'm glad you have at least found it! There's always a way to retrieve them. Got any expendable, climbing grandkids? Kidding, of course! Hmmm! Well, maybe!

Anybody Ever See This Page Before?

Strange. The creation date on one of the documentation files is from September of last year. That seems a long time ago for it not to have surfaced yet. Perhaps it was intended to support the new unreleased firmware. I do, however, like what can be seen of its intent. Rather much like Litchi for...

    X-Star WiFi

I'm about ready to finally spring for an XStar and have a question for those of you who own the WiFi version. Are you satisfied with this version or do you wish you had gotten the Premium? Other than price, what do you feel is your major advantage of the less expensive version? If you had your...

    CES Autel questions

It has been reported to be to fast and a bit jerky for a cinematic pan. The new firmware they were flying at CES appears to have corrected that and was buttery smooth.

    CES Autel questions

One item I failed to mention due to brain phartage is that Autel has released the Software Development Kit (SDK) for the new FW. This will open the door for third-party developers to give much more capability than included in he new release.

    CES Autel questions

OK, guys, CES was over yesterday and I waited until now to post so I could get all info I could. Last question first. There are no plans to produce or pursue a foldable machine similar to several I saw at this show. There is a new platform in the works that they had as non-working prototypes...
