You will not be able to replace the existing X-Star gimbal, but you could probably attach some kind of self-contained gimbal/camera system to the landing gear. The battery and/or performance would probably take a negative hit though.

Right -- that'll change the behavior of the camera tilt. However, you'll still see the screen as-is on your mobile device. I guess that could be a good thing for some people though ;)

No. I don't see why another charger would not work if you can find a charger that matches the specs of the X-Star charger (whatever they are).

The X-Star manual shows it's a "reserved port". It has no use other than something Autel might be doing with it internally. There are no third party chargers available if that's what you're referring to.

You'll need to rename the BIN file on the memory card by removing the "-old" extension from the end, insert the next battery, and power on the X-Star. This process needs to be repeated for each extra battery.
