    Finally Flying!

I've had my EVO since late December but finally flew it for the first time last week. Over the years I have crashed RC planes and a few RC helos, some on their maiden flights. Even when UAVs became popular, I stayed away from the sport (why kill innocent drones I don't even know?). After...

    Range Extender -vs- Antenna

I've watched video of the 4hawk install and it looks simple enough but I decided to let Autel fix the antenna. I didn't need extended range but was looking for a more robust antenna that would take more effort for me to break. Metal mounts and joints without interference to antenna...

    Range Extender -vs- Antenna

Yes, knew about warranty issue but still a good point. I also didn't want to crack into the remote case. I shipped it out today for Autel to fix. If I break it again and go through shipping to and from it's still cheaper than a range extender. I had 3D printed a PLA block and attached it to a...

    Range Extender -vs- Antenna

I dropped my EVO controller and it landed right on the joint and snap the pin and housing on the antenna side. I could have the antenna replaced for the cost of the antenna according to Autel support, which is more than fair for my clumsiness. I'm considering replacing the antenna with a...

    Scratched New Evo

I’ m guessing the material is the same or similar to auto trim pieces. A polish or wax may remove the scratch. Rubbing compound if its really bad and then followed by wax. I’m leaving my scratches as they are. My football players believe their scratched up helmets make them look tough but...

    Scratched New Evo

Update on my scratched EVO - I was given new props, an explanation, and apologies for the imperfections on my new purchase and the long wait for action. An offer was made to return the EVO but I declined. It would not be worth the trouble for me to pack it up, send it, for them to receive it...

    Scratched New Evo

I really don't want to return it but I can't even get a response from last Wednesday's message asking them to send replacements props. I'll give them another few days and if no reply or satisfaction, I'll send it back.

    Quality control is bad

Moments ago I posted a concern about cosmetic scratches on my new Evo purchased about 10 days ago. Autel said it most likely got scratched during a quality assurance check. Not to sound cheap or picky but that is a lot of money to put out for something new that now looks used. Good luck.

    Scratched New Evo

I finally purchased an Evo. Out of the box I found a few scratches on the body, one along the side, and a nicked propeller. I contacted Autel with my concern. I was told not to worry as some are pulled for QA checks but they did offer to send me a new set of props. Twice I've sent messages...
