Autel Service has destroyed any respect I may have had for their products

I work in the commercial drone space and I can tell you unequivocally that DJI is in no way off-limits for public safety operations. Every major PD in the US owns DJI equipment and uses it daily. There have been non-binding statements issued from the Commerce Dept and FCC which are opinion...

There's a reason why Best Buy is known as Amazon's showroom.

    X-Star Premium & X-Star WiFi FIrmware Issues Version Now @ 2.0.12 Final

I saw some of our old Autel buddies at the NY security conference today and of course I had to dig up some old, rotting firmware issues, you know, just to start some friendly conversation. After a minute or so I found myself alone in the booth....hey, where'd you guys go? In spite of being...

Keeping my EVO, but sad about it. (it is a jerky turner)

I agree 100%....what was considered "pro" 3 or 4 years ago is now "hobby" so it absolutely depends on the intended use. The DJI Mavic was released originally for the "prosumer" crowd but is now the biggest selling drone for the pro market..in fact, the biggest selling drone across all categories.

Keeping my EVO, but sad about it. (it is a jerky turner)

I performed controlled experiments with the yaw setting in the XSP firmware and it had very little effect...even reported my findings to autel support which elicited very little interest on their part....2 days of my life down the tubes.

Keeping my EVO, but sad about it. (it is a jerky turner)

Hey doing well Augustine thank you....not as active on here as I once was because all my autel stuff is gone but I've been hoping for an improvement to the product line so I still hang around. This orbit issue is vexing because it's the one maneuver that displays how precisely the machine can...

Keeping my EVO, but sad about it. (it is a jerky turner)

The orbit issue plagued the XSP as well and it was never addressed by Autel...we established an entire thread here to attempt a fix or work around but we were unsuccessful. Seems the problem is endemic to the product line and if you fly commercially this is a deal killer. It sounds like they...

    Should I sell........

Truth be told I loved my two XSP's but they had operational issues which made them difficult to handle in commercial situations. I thought their build quality and high-wind stability was second to none but I couldn't deal with Autel's glacial firmware releases which fixed one problem and...

    Should I sell........

Stirring the crap is one of my few talents...don't take it personally

    Should I sell........

There's far better equipment out there...dump the xsp and get on Craigslist to find gently used gear that works the second you turn it on.

    Sorry Autel

"I'm super excited about the launch of the Evo and hope they put DJI to bed" Really? Put the 800lb. gorilla to bed with a single-thread half baked product line?

    Evo release date 6-25-18

I'd love to see the parameters you're using and how you "dialed it in." Can you post a sample video of a good orbit flight? It sounds like you may have learned something the rest of us have missed.

    Evo release date 6-25-18

Has anyone seen an orbit video? It's probably the most rigorous simultaneous test for camera, gimbal and flight firmware...as the old timers on this forum know it's something the XSP failed to handle in spectacular fashion. IMHO if the aircraft doesn't pass the orbit test it's an overpriced toy.
