Problem solved. It turns out there is a maximum limit of 50 vertices, and the file I had used 63 of them. I had tried it a couple dozen times or more in different efforts. Using a modified file, a donor file made by Autel, etc. Once in a while I'd see something flash on the screen before it went...

You can create the perimeter on Google earth, as long as it's no more than 50 vertices for a polygon mission, or 99 points for a waypoint mission, and output the KML to use on the Autel. Once in Autel, import the mission, and adjust the elevations, etc.

I was just recently reading something from Autel that stated it would stitch typical panoramas, but not spherical ones. That was a little dated, so I can't say if it's true today or not.

If you're referring to the waypoint missions: 1) You can add a Point Of Interest, and it will focus on that as it flies. 2) You can set the heading of the aircraft to be oriented along the route, toward a degree heading, or manually controlled.

I received a KLM file for a construction site mapping project, from a service company that only deals with DJI drones. It turns out the KLM was only waypoints that define the boundary of the project. I see no way to use that KLM to create a polygon mission in the Explorer APP. I've never flown...
