Battery Charging Vs. Remote Controller Charging

I have a few questions about battery and Controller charging.
1) Do you charge your controller along with your 1 battery each time together or are you needlessly hurting your remote control battery?

2) Since I want to get more than 1 battery how many batteries in one sitting can you go thru before the controller needs to be recharged? I ask this because I am interested in having maybe about 5 batteries but if the controller will die before I go thru all 5 then it is useless to get that many.

Hi,

1- we don't charge the controller each time a battery is used.
2- Good question but if I recall right since I have 3 batteries, I can use my batteries twice (so at least 6 batteries) before I have to charge the controller but I have not kept track beyond those 6 batteries.
Maybe someone else can chime in on a more exact amount.
