Cable for Dual Remotes

I have recently acquired a second remote control and I am wondering if the "Learner Cable) is anything other than a cable with dual 3.5mm Male ends? My wife wants to be able take pictures while I fly, and she can do that when I have the remotes connected. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I posed the same question to Autel CS, and they confirmed that that's all it is, nothing special.
