Drone manufacturer Autel seems to be working on a new enterprise version of its EVO Lite mid-range series. A first leaked video shows the new model in flight. Here you can read the already known details.
The EVO Lite series for the consumer market was officially presented in September 2021, but the drone was not available in Germany until the course of 2022.
Now Autel seems to be preparing the EVO Lite platform for professional use. However, it is open for the moment when the new model will appear.
On the video we get a brief look at the associated app, which is about to track two motives. The associated drone looks very similar to the previous EVO Lite series from the consumer area, it only carries a new camera module, which now has two sensors sitting next to each other.
The Insider GAtamer provides a suitable image of the new drone on the floor, on which it becomes clear: The second camera is a thermal imaging camera (left module). Autel is apparently planning an extension of IR drones to the mid-range segment. In the DJI portfolio, such a model is still missing and would be similar to an enterprise version of the DJI Air 3 (test report).
This includes, among other things, the propulsion system with a flight time of up to 40 minutes, whereby the higher weight and other electronics on board could possibly correct this value slightly downwards. Furthermore, the drone is also to maintain its obstacle detection.
SkyLink will continue to be used for signal transmission. Here it is interesting whether Autel's EVO Lite is giving the new and more robust version of its transmission technologist for professional use, which is also used in the EVO Max series.
Possible prizes or a publication date of the new UAV model are still unknown.
