Had a chance to try out Dragonfish Lite - here are some notes/thoughts.
Pros:
Pros:
- Flight stability and performance seemed OKish - no problems spotted on this flight
- Transitions were pretty smooth - although wind was around 5-7 m/s and gusts going up to 8-10 m/s
- Precise RTK landing is a nice feature
- Relatively easy and intuitive to operate (if having previous VTOL experience)
- Gimbal POI/Object tracking needs some work - poor target lock
- Missing secondary controller/console for payload operator - pilot is a bit overwhelmed with flying activity alone
- Batteries are too expensive and Lite model max flight time falls a bit short
- Value/price match for adoption is not there yet
- Auto-landing on GPS loss is a dangerous feature - should be capable at least some level of INS RTH at this pricepoint
- Missing emergency parachute option (might be required by regulation and lowers all sorts of operational/financial risks)
- Datalink max distance in case of CE region falls a bit short (no option to configure TX power even when you have a special RF license)
