Yeah, you're a little off base, but aren't we all sometimes. You are making the assumption that if AutelPilot is an actual Autel dealer, that it would take a lot of work on Autel's part to "influence" behavior at AutelPilot. That assumption is completely false. If they are a dealer, and wanted to remain a dealer, then a simple email would end the deception. If they are not a dealer and buy product on the gray market and pretend to be a dealer, then Autel Robotics' influence is probably limited.
You've outlined that cloning AutelRobotics.com is not deceptive in your opinion. I would disagree. Disagreement is okay. I guess my idea of marketing transparency is a little different than yours. Are folks gullible and make bad choices? Of course they are. But Autel doesn't do them any favors. Have you checked out their list of "official" vendors? I'll save you some time. Autelpilots.com is not on it. Neither is
@advexure, Drone-Works or B&H Photo. (
Find a Store-Autel Robotics Official Website) So the noobs to the drone purchasing market are on their own. But, hey, they can just dispute their purchase if it goes bad, right? No big deal.
I don't have any skin in this game. All of my purchases have been from legit dealers. But that doesn't mean that Autelpilot is just another fair and square entrepreneur and alls good with the world. If I see something that is shady, I call it out that's all.
