Aside from operator error, I'm waiting to hear how this thing will hold up over time. I was charging my controller yesterday and some strange noise were coming out of it. I'm a little skittish from owning a couple of yuneec drones. My H is in the shop again for its 5th repair under warranty.

This one is all on me. My error. If you toe in the controller sticks for more then a few seconds the motors will shut off. They behave differently on the EVO than my Mavic Pro. I learned something today..

You have to be connected to wi fi or cellular. The update has only been out for a few days, so there is little chance it's updated already. I would check the version in the explorer app.

Greeting from Shakopee, MN. I'm not new to drones, but I am to Autel. I had my maiden voyage of my X-star on Saturday. Aside from numerous video interference and a app complete disconnect which caused the craft to RTH, I like the drone so far. Great to know help is here if I need it.

Thanks for the reply. In the case of the lost connection, screen was black. Warning was visible on the controller. With all the error messages, I would get the signal was weak and the displayed video was choppy, pixelated, etc. it would go back to normal, then down to three bars, two bars, five...
