Antenna question.......DJI Vs Autel

Antenna question.......DJI VIDEO says to aim their blades so the flat part faces the drone.....While Autel says to make sure the flat parts of the blades Face each other.... I don’t understand this ....... I thought signal was signal. TIA

The antenna inside these paddles is just a wire. The thing about the Autel Robotics controller is that if you put the antennas parallel to each other, the flats face one another simply because there is no other way for them to face.

Correct; there is just a wire inside the plastic antenna (on both brands). Thus, it doesn't matter whether the flat or the narrow side faces outward. However, it is important that the antennas are parallel with each other and that they are perpendicular with the aircraft.

Wildseyed & Cori are correct. Inside those large plastic antenna sticks is a tiny wire in one and 2 tiny wires in the other.
