I'm thinking the longer cable may be part of the disconnect and video interruptions.

I think the electrons are happier if they Don't have to travel too far.

Also think about when you wrap it up you are basically creating a coil of wire which really can't help. I don't think that it being a few feet long is not much but once you coil/wrap it up I can see it making some kind of difference.

I just ordered two of those cables, I looked at the labeling on them and they are some serious cables. Will let you know how long mine take to get here...with my luck they will take the slow boat....lol
